Adding a Blog List
Now that you have a blog and have shared it with your friends and family it’s time to add a blog list. A blog list, also known as a blogroll, is just what it sounds like-a list of blogs. Now, why would you want to add a blog list? Because this is not just any list of blogs, it's a list of your favorite blogs that you visit and read often. It’d probably be a list of your friends and family’s blogs and maybe other blogs that you like to read every now and then. This list, once you create it, will be on your blog so it will be really easy to keep up with all of your favorite blogs. Here is an example of what a blog list looks like: 
So, let’s create a blog list! Go to your blog. Click on Customize in the top right corner.
Click on Add a Gadget.
Then click on the blue plus sign next to Blog List.
Now click on the blue button that says 'Add to List'. This is where you type the blog address of one your favorite blogs. This could be copied and pasted in or just typed in. Then click 'Add'. 
Then click 'Save'. That's it! Go ahead and add as many blogs as you like. Or add a few now and come back later to add more. Once you're satisfied, go to 'View Blog' and check out your blog list. Exciting, isn't it? Your blogging life just got easier.
Blog list vs. Link list
Blogger has two different kinds of lists, blog list and link list. The blog list is what we just taught you how to add which is a list of your favorite blogs. What we didn’t tell you is that the blog with the most recent post will automatically be put at the top of your list by blogger. This is such a cool feature because it cuts down on the time it takes checking your friends blogs for updated posts. This makes it easier to stay in touch because all your time goes to reading updated blogs, not searching for blogs that are updated.
Blogger also has a link list. This is just a basic list made up of your favorite blogs, websites, etc. For example, you could put amazon.com, a movie review website, or any website you check often. You create a link list the same way you create a blog list. Just click on the blue plus sign next to link list in the gadget window.
Know the rules
When adding blogs to your blog list, take note of proper blogging etiquette. That is, you don’t necessarily need to ask someone permission to add their blog to your blog list but don’t use their full name. Just use their first name, nickname, or the name of their blog if it doesn't include their full name. Blogger will automatically put the title of their blog on your list when you add it. Sometimes this is someone's full name. If so, there is a button that says 'Rename' next to their blog. Click on that and rename it something that doesn't include their full name.
